St Richard’s Parish August 2025 Our Faith Education classes take place on Sunday mornings from 9:00-11:00 am. Classes consist of one hour of theory (1 trained Catechist per group of 4-10 children) followed by one hour of mass. Our sessions run from end of September to end of April or early May. We have classes for students in grades 1 through 6. The children receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Level 2, First Holy Communion in Level 3 and Confirmation in level 6. There is at least a 2-year preparation for First Communion. Children must attend and complete level 2 to progress to level 3 to receive their First Communion. If you register your child for level 2 in September 2025, they will only receive the sacrament of First Communion in the spring of 2027 when they are in level 3. Children must then continue to levels 4, 5, and 6 to receive their Confirmation in level 6. A child must be at least 6 years old to enter level 1. Our next session will start on September 21st and will end April 26th. Regular attendance is required, and parents are expected to attend the 10:00 am mass with their children. We will be taking registrations for classes starting now until the end of August early September 2025. A copy of the registration form is attached herein. The fee is 80$ per child with an additional 50$ for sacrament year. You can drop off the completed form along with your payment at the parish office on Wednesday & Thursday: 9.:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Look forward to welcoming you to our parish.
